Procedure for transferring .UK domain names

The transfer is free of charges because this operation doesn't include a domain name renewal. You will benefit from all our services until the expiration of the domain name, when you will have to renew with NETIM.

Requirements
In order to proceed with a transfer, the domain name's owner must request the transfer from his current registrar.

Different stages
You have two possibilities in order to move you domain towards NETIM:

• First, you have to contact the current registrar of your domain name and ask them to move
  the domain across to NETIM.
  This move is totally free for you, the current registrar, and NETIM as the new registrar
  
  Ensure that you provide them our TAG: NETIM-FR
  
  
• Second, if your current registrar refuses to do this, or if you are unable to contact them
  because they have ceased trading, you should contact the registry and ask them to move the
  domain name for you.
  
  Caution: in this case, the registry will charge you GBP 10 for this service

You can transfer your domain whenever you want, no need to wait for the expiration in order to complete the domain transfer.

   Important information

• Deadline for transfer: 2 to 3 days before your domain name's expiration date
• Ideal date for transfer: 2 weeks before expiration of your domain name
• The owner's email address must be valid in order to send the request to the registry
