Registration:

All of the following people can register the .FR domain name of their choice, the owner (applicant) must be:

  • an individual residing in France and over the age of 18.
  • a legal entity like:
    - owners of registered trademarks ( INPI, OMPI, etc )
    - french companies or foreign companies with a registered office in France
    - french associations with a SIREN number
    - self-employed people in France

  The administrative contact of your domain name must also reside in France !

Renewal:

A renewal extends the domain name for one year. Renewal procedures must be carried out before the domain's expiration date otherwise the domain will switch to quarantine status for a 7 day period before being removed. During this status, the domain is no longer active but can still be restored.
